Tonight! At the Rumble Bowl

At night in Rumble City, searchlights sweep over the Rumble Bowl. A yellow school bus and her little cars honk on their way to the show.

Narrator: “In Rumble City, every truck is alive!”

Inside the Bowl, the crowd of cars flashes its headlights, fireworks go up through the open ring, and Announcer Al, a chrome microphone, telescopes down from the roof.

Announcer Al: “Ladies and gentletrucks! It's! Show! Time!”

Al calls each truck, and each one shows its power: Big Stomp stomps (BOOM!), Nitro boosts (WHOOSH!), Mudslide changes his tires and splashes into the mud (SPLAT!), Smash swings her ball into a tower of blocks (SMASH!), Bounce springs up and flips, then goes flat as a pancake (SPROIIING!), and Torque holds still to scan a ramp (DING.).

Announcer Al: “Big Stomp! Nitro! Mudslide! Smash! Bounce! Torque!”

The six trucks cheer together as confetti falls.

Narrator: “Six best friends. One big, loud rookie season.”

Diesel, the black champion truck, rolls up under a blue spotlight, smiles a cool half-smile and puffs his four chrome stacks.

Announcer Al: “And the champion to beat… DIESEL!”

Big Stomp jumps a ramp in the Bowl; the crew splashes through Mud Mountain, crosses the new bridge at Canyon Ridge, drives through a Nitro Beach sandstorm and watches the water rush down Avalanche Alley. Then the ten book covers line up on a shelf.

Narrator: “Big shows. Big rescues. Ten big books!”

Big Stomp bursts through a wall of blocks (SMASH!), shakes off the dust and laughs with the crew; the arena's forklifts and loader build the wall again in fast-forward.

Narrator: “Things get smashed. Nobody gets hurt. Everything gets built again.”

The end card: the Monster Mash Motors wordmark, Rookie Season, the crew in a row, and the words “Ten illustrated chapter books for ages 5 to 8” and “Read Chapter One here · Play the games”.

Announcer Al: “MONSTER! MASH! MOTORS!”
